I really like the idea itself - baking fish in a separate portion with a side dish and sauce, it turns out both tasty and presentable at the same time. An important point in preparation is that you need to do everything quite carefully, especially with a foil mold, otherwise the dish will not have a beautiful appearance, and, moreover, the sauce may spill onto the baking sheet.
So, the concept of the dish is this: we take a piece of fish and make a deep mold for it from two layers of foil. Next, cover the fish steak with chopped onions, pour in lemon juice and place in a cold place for marinating. At the next stage, place potato slices on the onion and fill the mold with sour cream, eggs, grated hard cheese and, if desired, herbs. Well, then we put the dish in the oven and monitor its preparation.
You can take any red fish for this dish - salmon, trout, I like to cook this dish from pink salmon. You can buy a whole fish and cut it into portioned pieces, or you can immediately take the required number of steaks.
When you make the filling, you can use natural yogurt instead of sour cream, but do not use mayonnaise, so as not to spoil the taste of the dish with excess fat.
The recipe is for 1 serving.

Pink salmon with potatoes baked in the oven

The ingredients for the recipe are more than affordable, and the dish turns out just like a holiday!

Ingredients:

  • Fresh frozen pink salmon,
  • 2 carrots,
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 onions,
  • 100 g hard cheese,
  • 50 ml sunflower oil,
  • 1.5 kg potatoes,
  • salt,
  • a mixture of ground peppers.

Cooking process:

First of all, pink salmon needs to be defrosted. To make it easier to clean and separate the fillets from the bones, the fish should not be defrosted completely; slightly thawed meat will be easier to separate from the bones.

Prepare the necessary vegetables with which we will bake pink salmon. Grate the carrots and cut the onion into quarter rings. Fry them in sunflower oil until slightly golden brown, add a little salt.

Peel the potatoes and place them in a saucepan with water, which needs to be put on fire. After boiling, cook for 15 minutes until the potatoes are half cooked. If pink salmon and raw potatoes are baked in the oven at the same time, there is a chance that either the potatoes will remain unbaked or the fish will be dry.

Such undercooked potatoes need to be cut into slices (quarters, halves, whatever happens), put in a baking dish, sprinkle with sunflower oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place the pan in a preheated oven.

At this time, separate the pink salmon fillet from the bones. Lightly salt and pepper the fish. Place thin slices of lemon on the fillet.

Then place a layer of fried vegetables on the red fish.

Place grated cheese on top.

At the time of placing the pink salmon fillet on the potatoes, the latter should be almost ready, since it will take no more than 20 minutes to cook the fish.

When serving, sprinkle the delicious aromatic with parsley. This baked pink salmon with vegetables is also good when cooled.
