The collectives are regular participants in the final concert of the students of the choreographic departments of the Children's Music School and the Children's Art School of the city of Moscow, which is organized by a methodological study for educational institutions of arts and culture.
Over the years, a large concert repertoire has been created, which includes not only samples of the classical heritage, but also folk dances and modern performances. Choreographers are invited to create the repertoire. So, on December 20, 2009, the premiere of the ballet performance "The Feast of the Mukhi-Tsokotukhi" staged by Vladimir Abrosimov took place, where students of grades 1-7 performed with great success.

The Igor Moiseyev State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble is a choreographic folk dance ensemble created in 1937 by choreographer and ballet master Igor Aleksandrovich Moiseev. GAANT named after Moiseev is the world's first professional choreographic collective engaged in artistic interpretation and propaganda of dance folklore of the peoples of the world, including Jewish, Mexican, Greek dances.

Team history

The Igor Moiseyev GANT was founded on February 10, 1937, on the day when the first rehearsal of a troupe of 30 people took place in the Moscow choreographer's house at 4 Leontyevsky Lane. The task that Moiseev set for the young artists was to creatively process and present on the stage the samples of USSR folklore that existed at that time. To this end, the members of the ensemble went on folklore expeditions across the country, where they searched for, studied and recorded disappearing dances, songs and rituals. As a result, the first programs of the dance troupe were Dances of the Peoples of the USSR (1937-1938) and Dances of the Baltic Peoples (1939). Since 1940, the ensemble got the opportunity to rehearse and perform on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Hall, and it was this theater that became the home for the collective for many years.

The repertoire of the ensemble includes about 300 choreographic works created by Igor Moiseev since 1937. By genre, all dances are divided into choreographic miniatures, dance paintings, dance suites and one-act ballets. Thematically, the dances are combined into the cycles "Pictures of the Past", "Soviet Pictures" and "Around the World".

Vladimir Zakharov was the first of the choreographers to turn to the topic of folk crafts, and a miracle appeared - the Gzhel dance theater.

The ballet troupe of the Gzhel dance theater is the only one in the country and in the world that works in three directions of choreography: folk, ballet, music hall. For 23 years of work V.M. Zakharov in the theater, thanks, first of all, to his talent, efficiency, professionalism, organizational skills, the dance theater "Gzhel" has become one of the leading choreographic groups in the country.

In 1999, by order of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Moscow State Dance Theater "Gzhel" was awarded the title "Academic".

Ensemble N. Nadezhdina "Birch"

The State Academic Choreographic Ensemble "Birch" is a choreographic ensemble of Russian folk dance, created in 1948 by Nadezhda Sergeevna Nadezhdina.

The name of the ensemble is taken from the first production of the Russian girls' round dance "Birch" (1948).

For thirty years Nadezhda Sergeevna was the artistic director of the collective and never backed down from her words. Probably, this also explains to some extent the phenomenon of "Birch", which very quickly became one of the original and beautiful symbols of Russia. Initially, the collective was female (until 1959) and the first performance of the collective with the dance of the same name took place in the Hermitage Theater in 1948 and was a resounding success. Subsequently, NS Nadezhdina staged such masterpieces of Russian folk choreography as: Waltz "Birch", "Swan", "Chain", "Spinning", "Sudarushka", "Big Cossack Dance", "Balagurs", "Festive dance "," Bachelors "," Siberian Suite "," Coachmen ", triptych" Russian Porcelain ", a cycle of choreographic compositions" Seasons "and others. Nadezhdinskaya "Birch" was a real discovery in the stage embodiment of Russian folk dance. She is the founder of not only a very special ensemble, but also a new style in modern choreography.

Folk dance ensemble at the choir named after Pyatnitsky

Mitrofan Efimovich Pyatnitsky (1864-1927) became the founder of folk choral singing on the professional stage and the organizer of the first folk choir in Russia.

More than 400 songs, recorded on an old roller phonograph, have been preserved in the archives of Mitrofan Pyatnitsky. Pyatnitsky was so conquered by folk performers that he had a dream to show on a concert stage a Russian song in its original form, as it sounded for centuries.

The first concert of the group took place on March 2, 1911 in Moscow on the stage of the Noble Assembly. Singing peasants appeared before the audience - straight from the ground, from the plow, from the heap. The original composition consisted of eighteen people from three middle Russian provinces. Until the early 1920s, singers were invited to concerts in Moscow, and then they returned to their villages. Only 10 years later, Mitrofan Pyatnitsky moved the choir members to live in the capital, and they began to perform in a permanent composition.
